Born in Cornwall, Mark Wade moved to London in the late 1980's where a love affair and fascination with Soho was born, and now heavily influences his work. As both a figuareative and landscape artist, Mark has a passion for the details. Whether capturing the look on someone's face, or the atmosphere of an neon lit urban scene, his direct observational style creates artworks with a realistic truthful element.———————————————For many years, Mark was well known for his extraordinary realistic replicas of enlarged album covers, of which he painted around a 100 different sleeves. But, a desire to paint more freely saw Mark abandon the strict confines of creating replicas to concentrate on painting mood and prescence. His work has been exhibited at The Saatchi Gallery, The Royal Albert Hall, The Savoy Hotel and The Barbican, as well as various public venues around London, and has collectors of his work all over the world.———————————————Commissions
